So I know we are still 2 weeks away from Thanksgiving, but I am getting so excited to pull out the Christmas decorations and get decorating with the boys! I'm not sure if we are going to start decorating tomorrow or wait until next weekend, but the blog could wait no longer :) Here are my sweet boys after we finished decorating last year...pics from this year soon to come!

Garrett's last basketball game of the season
He dribbles...
Garrett had his last basketball game last night and as always played hard! It was a very successful experience and he loved having his Dad as the coach. What next? It was a toss up between basketball again and trying indoor soccer...he thought he would like to see what indoor soccer is all about and Steve is going to try his hand at coaching that too! It doesn't start until January so we will have a nice break of activities for the holidays.
A very happy Halloween 2009
This was one of our best Halloween's yet filled with fun from Garrett's preschool, pumpkin carving, Granny and Papa's visit, and trick-or-treating with friends.
The festivities started on Thursday with Garrett's preschool celebration. It was a lot of fun to see him and his peers dressed up for the party. Mason even got to join in on the fun...he was a very excited little brother getting to go into Garrett's class dressed in his firemen costume.
The class frosted and ate their cookies then...
Performed adorable songs and finger plays for the parents. I love listening to their sweet voices sing...truly heart warming!
Pumpkin carving! Garrett was so proud of himself as he cut open, scooped out the pulp and carved his pumpkin ALL BY HIMSELF...and how cute it is too!!!
Daddy and Mason worked together to carve Mason's enormous pumpkin and it turned out great too :)
Three of our many pumpkins this year. Stevens "Vandal's", Mason's "happy" and Garrett's "X" pumpkins on display.
Granny and Papa came for a visit this weekend too and were really excited to be able to watch Garrett play basketball. Garrett must have been extra excited too as he scored 3 baskets and proved once again to be a super hustler!
This year was our first Halloween not spent at our own home/neighborhood trick-or-treating and passing out candy. My first thought was how I would miss seeing and passing out candy to all the trick-or-treaters that came to our house. That thought was quickly replaced with the excitement of going out as a family and better yet with great friends too! So, we packed up the boys and our pumpkins and headed over to the Richins for dinner and trick-or-treating.
Fun times, getting to go up to the doors by themselves now!
This was quite a scare for the boys as a live man came out of the coffin as they took candy from the bowl.
Ah, the loot...and lots of it! In fact, after selecting seven pieces each (one for each day next week), Garrett and Mason walked away with 3 pounds of candy! They then sold their candy to their dentist for $1.00 per pound which subsequently was sent to our troops in Iraq! I hope to be able to get away with this for many years to come!
Here they are ready to crash! Everyone snuggled up in their jammies to watch a movie while us adults got to play some games...fun times...thanks for hosting Richins!

Weekend with friends
This past weekend was jam packed with family/friend time...loads of fun! Garrett and Mason had a blast at a friends birthday party that was held at a local bowling ally, Garrett even got 2 spares! We are now looking forward to going again as a family!

Nice form G!
Mason started out with the classic slow push down...
then advanced to the bowling ramp...so much easier for a 2 year old!
A lot of fun was had a the bowling ally!

After bowling, we headed home for some power naps before Garrett's basketball game. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures, but Garrett had a lot of fun and it was great to have the cheer and support from Garrett's Aunt, Uncle, and cousins...thanks Davis'!
Thursday we played Bunco Halloween style, I was the witch with silver/black hair...super fun girls night out!
Saturday we helped pull off a surprise 30th birthday party for one of our friends and had a great night out...happy birthday Braidy!!!
I love the look of happy determination on Garrett's face!

Garrett's field trip to the pumpkin patch
Fun times at the pumpkin patch
Fall is one of my favorite seasons and we certainly look forward to going to the pumpkin patch each year. We took the boys to a local pumpkin patch and had a wonderful time! We started out by tracking through the SUPER MUDDY corn maze and I was so thankful Steven was the navigator on this one...not a single wrong turn made! Then the boys got to climb on and through the hay bale castle, pet animals, launch pumpkins, tour a fire engine (not really sure why it was there), and most importantly went on the tractor ride to pick pumpkins. Although rainy at times it was a great family day at the pumpkin patch!
