Healing

Mason's hand is healing...slowly but surly. It it still quite red and swollen as you can see in the pictures, but I am hopeful that it will heal beautifully with minimal scaring...and sooner than later! Mason is quite sensitive about his hand in the sense that he doesn't want anything to do with it...doesn't want to look at it, talk about it or even think about it! Most of the time he keeps it closed in a fist and does everything one handed. Our biggest battle yet has been putting the antibiotic ointment on several times a day...it is a fight every time and unfortunately for him, he never gets to win...unfortunately for me it takes quite some time to convince him each time that it NEEDS to be done and this definitely is not a time to force him into it, he has to willingly let me...argh!

I just hope he is doing better in a couple of weeks because we are now moving to surgery #3 of the spring...Garrett! Garrett has been struggling with his hearing for quite some time now (at least since Aug. and probably longer) due to fluid that just won't drain from his ears. So, he is having tubes put in AND his adenoids removed June 4th. So for all of you that prayed for Steven and Mason's surgeries, please do the same for Garrett :) I can't wait for him to finally hear again...no more questioning weather he isn't hearing me or simply being 4 and not listening to his mother!
