A nice long weekend with family!

The boys and I traveled across the state for an extended weekend with Grandparents and family this past weekend and had a great time!

We started at Steven's parents where his mother and I got to spoil the boys with their first boat rides on the lake of the summer. Garrett had a blast driving the boat by himself and ended up spinning in so many circles it made his Granny a bit motion sick! Mason too got to drive the boat and was thrilled by going as fast as the boat could take us, squealing at every wave we hit :) We also got treated to many trips in the paddle boat, often being chauffeured around by Garrett...until he decided it was time to jump in and swim back...then we got to paddle ourselves back! We also got to see a baby turtle and a few bigger ones, go on bike rides, play at the park, play in the warm hot tub, and even tried our hands at fishing but came back empty handed (except for the neighbors' chihuahua that tried eating the corn off the hook and hooked himself...poor thing!) Thanks Granny for a great time at the lake, just you, me and the boys!

After leaving the lake, it was on to my parents house where we got to visit with Nana and Grandpa. We then traveled a short distance to visit my Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, and Cousins for what was very much like a family reunion to celebrate the visitation of my cousin and his wife who are visiting from Florida. As always, there was lots of great food to be had, and lots of great conversations catching up on every ones lives. The boys had a lot of fun feeding and petting the horses, exploring the great pasture land, playing games, and visiting with everyone. We had a wonderful time and look forward to our next visit (in two weeks!) where we get to spend 10 days between our families lake places...lets hope for warm weather!!!
