Garrett was SOOO excited the day he discovered his loose tooth, so excited in fact, he couldn't keep his wiggling fingers out of his mouth! He wiggled, and wiggled, and wiggled that tooth from morning till night! We did nightly checks to see just how loose that tooth was getting and remembering back to when we had loose teeth ourselves, they seemed to hang on by just a thread before falling out. It was certainly loose, but not hanging on by a thread loose, so when Garrett came into Mason's room to tell me his tooth fell out, I was shocked! I asked him how it happened and he told me that he was eating an apple and it was getting more loose so he gabbed it and pulled it out! "WHAT?! You pulled it out?" I asked. "Yep, I pulled it out." What a brave boy I have :)
One of the first pictures, he was so excited!
One down, 23 to go?
How cute is that new smile on our adorable 5 year old?
So not really knowing what to do when the first tooth is lost, some friends encouraged us to have Garrett write the Tooth Fariy a letter and he did such a great job!
It reads: "Tooth Fairy this is my first lost tooth. Thank you for bringing me something. Garrett"
He left the note and tooth under his pillow and woke up to find a note and two golden Native American coins. Garrett now does daily checks of his teeth trying to find his next loose tooth :)

Yay, Garrett!
