Steven had a conference in Squaw Valley, CA near Lake Tahoe last week/weekend and I was so fortunate to be able to attend with him. For those of you who have just met us, after college Steven and I lived in Reno, NV for four years and loved camping up at Tahoe. The highlights of our trip were taking in the beauty of our surroundings (does not even compare to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest though!), shopping with a new friend Heidi, and best of all visiting some of our best friends in Reno.
This was the first weekend that Steven and I have had ALONE with out the boys and it was much appreciated! Steven's mom was kind enough to take two days off work, fly here and spend the weekend with the boys (we really had to twist her arm for this one...ha! ha!) The boys had a great time playing all weekend with Granny, I just hope she was not too exhausted at work on Tuesday!
I loved every minute of it and hope to get to do it again.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm super jealous! My first night away from the boys will be with my Mommy 'N Me Group on November as we take a night in Tacoma for the NKOTB concert! Hehehehehehehe! Dan and I are working on getting our first night away together though!
