My little Mason bug is officially 3 and clearly no longer a baby, how did you grow so big so fast?! Mason's birthday is on Christmas Eve and we had a great time celebrating it prior to a family Christmas Eve. We started the morning with his breakfast of choice, chocolate chip pancakes, bacon and hot cocoa...yummy in his tummy! He opened his birthday presents from us and his grandparents and then spur of the moment decided to venture off to Chuckie Cheese for more birthday fun. He had great fun using his tokens to go on all the rides and play the games then enjoyed some pizza with Granny and Papa. This very well could become a birthday tradition for him for several years to come since not many other places are open on his birthday!
Yummy pancakes!
Another favorite...a take-a-part truck, thanks N & G!
Granny and Garrett...Get those ducks!
Peddal Garrett!
Up, up, and away!
What a year to look back on and so many things to remember about being 2! Here are some of our favorite things to remember about "Mason's 2's"...
* Potty trained (with minimal accidents those of which usually happen at a friends house!)
* No more paci (so glad to have had that for his surgery though!)
*Loves to either be dressed like Dad (shorts and a t-shirt- even in the winter!) or snuggled in jammies all day.
* An amazing imagination that is continuing to evolve...I love watching/listening to Mason's imagination at work!
* Can count 30 on his own and 100 with an adults help with the order of tens.
* Beginning to have a curiosity for spelling words, starting with mastering M-A-S-O-N
* Has a great fascination with tying--ropes, belts, string...anything that can be tied!
* Summer quite possibly could be his favorite season with his favorite activities...camping, jet skiing, bike riding, swinging, finding worms and slugs...
* Mason always has a song in his head, I love listening to him sing and hearing the songs he knows and those that he makes up---the cutest!
* Loves to play with (and tease at times:) )his big brother. Some favorite brotherly activities for them are to play hide-and-seek, games, tag, ride the tractor together, build forts, and the least favorite for me...argue!
* And my favorite of all...his snuggles! Mason still loves to be held, snuggled, cuddled and still LOVES to caress mom's hair ( I hope to add this to the list every year!)
Love ya big boy!
