Mason's pre-birthday party with friends

Our sweet Mason turns three in just three days...on Christmas Eve! We have always been told and have discussed how difficult it will be to celebrate Mason's birthday with it being on such a special holiday, but so far this year it has all been very exciting for him and quite ordinary as far as birthdays are concerned. We invited 8 of Mason's closest friends to celebrate with him this past weekend (just as we would for Garrett's birthday if it did not fall on a weekend) and they were all able to attend and had a super fun time! He wanted it to be "Diego" themed so Steven gave his first try at the birthday cake this year and did an outstanding job, Mason loved it! The kids had fun doing a craft, pin the tail on the donkey, duck-duck-goose, a new to us game called bug in a rug (lots of fun with a group of kids!), and a pinata (the part Mason was looking forward to the most!). I cannot even believe my baby (or "BIG BOY" as he insists) is turning three in three days... I am looking forward to enjoying the MANY more amazing yeas to come, hoping they don't pass us by too quickly!

Without a doubt, we will be celebrating Mason's birthday again on the 24th, making the majority of his day about him and his birthday, then looking forward to celebrating Christmas Eve with Steven's family here at our house. Two birthday parties, one with friends and another with family...what more could a boy want!
